Ok... since were going to play the custom game again...
Robert,
How about a replica of Brian May's "Red Special" guitar?
in any of the finishes below
Mahogany body (with acoustic chamber) with Pinstripe binding
> Mahogany neck
> 24" scale (Depth: 22mm at 1st fret ... 24mm at 12th fret)
> 24 fret - ebony fingerboard (width 45mm at 0 fret ... 57mm at 24th fret)
> Grover GH305 locking tuners
> Dual truss rod
> Graphite nut
> New bridge & Brass saddles
> BM Custom tremolo arm
> 3 x Burns Tri-Sonic pickups (series wired)
> Master Volume & Tone controls
> Original BM switching system
> Individual pickup IN/OUT phase plus Individual pickup ON/OFF
Up for the challenge? _________________ When someone asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."~ Jack Burton |

Can't hurt to ask. He definitely seems more open to non-lp style guitars lately so I think your chances are good now. _________________ When someone asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" There MIGHT be another custom on the horizon for ol' Craig, besides the V. It is contingent on me selling my Strat and a couple of pedals, though. I was watching Zeppelin's The Song Remains The Same movie the other day which provoked some major GAS pains... Jimmy Page's '59 LP Standard and his cherry EDS-1275 doubleneck. Either one of those would be unspeakably sweet to own. I asked Robert about the LP, which I would model after this "50th Anniversary '59". Back in the '70s Page's LP hadn't faded a whole lot yet and it reminded me of this color. They refer to this particular interpretation of the burst as 'Faded Persimmon Burst':
For the doubleneck, I don't know if Robert has ever done one before or if it would be available to him. Haven't asked yet. I've seen Chinese Gibby fakes so it may be do-able, but I wonder how much use I'd get from it. LPs are heavy enough; this would be worse, I'm sure I've played doubles - and triples even - before, so I know of what I speak. A solid hunk of mahogany like that is heavy in weight, but also in tone. JP really made his wail...
Either way, all I know is I need to stop watching those freaking concert films, or my wife will have me living in the shed on a diet of bread and water
EDIT: Tacking on some pics of the Page signature 1275. The faded cherry is nice...

Craig, If you decide on getting the Paul like Jimmy's, let me know. I have a Gibson Burst Bucker 3 doing nothing, I can throw it your way |

^^^Thanks buddy. I might take you up on that. Have to see if I can sell my Strat and a couple pedals in order to make yet another NGD happen... _________________ ᛊᛈᚨᚱᚨ ᛟᚲᚢᚱ ᚠᚱᚨ ᚦᛖ ᛟᚠᛊᚨᛒᚱᛇᛞᛁ ᚨᚠ ᚦᛖ ᚾᛟᚱᚦᚢᚱ |

Robert I want one of these in the same color Acapulco Gold, can it be done? Link with specs minus Trem, I want fixed bridge
http://wildwestguitars.com/jackson/pages/rr1_gold_u20254.htm
or in Absinthe Frost Green King V with specs minus trem also, I want a fixed bridge
http://wildwestguitars.com/jackson/pages/kv2_green_u20122.htm
I like the V coming for Craig also, but if either of these could be done that would be killer! _________________ Guitars-ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000/Epiphone Negative G-400 SG/Epiphone Custom Explorer/Jackson JS32RT Dinky

Robert thought my V was cool enough that he ordered a few more along with mine. If you like it, you should see if they're spoken for yet... _________________ ᛊᛈᚨᚱᚨ ᛟᚲᚢᚱ ᚠᚱᚨ ᚦᛖ ᛟᚠᛊᚨᛒᚱᛇᛞᛁ ᚨᚠ ᚦᛖ ᚾᛟᚱᚦᚢᚱ |

Craig,
I might just have too, but if I can get a King V or Rhoads V that would be killer! Could you PM the details about your order.

Craig, On the Jimmy Paul, will you stay with the traditional rosewood board that are on the standards? By the way, the Burst Bucker has no cover, its black with a very long lead, the pickup is in very good condition... |
