Over the years Ive had luck to play most every style of electric and some acoustic guitars and a few basses also. The real litmus test is the ease of playing comfortably after the 12th fret, height of the strings is a factor, plus the perceived ability to bend strings.I understand the width and thickness of a neck are factors also,my point is this tonality can be altered by volume, tone, pickups, wood and the quality of electronics. So it is important to have the ability to play in the upper registers THAT is to me the most important factor in deciding what is for, you the player. I wish guitars were rated as such ,but i know there are criteria that everyone has to their own liking. |
