Digitech RP1000 multi effects pedal

well I bought this pedal about a month ago for my home studio and I got to say it's amazing. You can pick one of these up for about $360-$450 depending where you buy it.

The amp and cabinet modulation is alone worth the price, amazing tones and selections are available from vintage and modern amps and cabinets such Fender classic amps,Marshall heads,Mesa Boogie amps and Vox Ac styles, not to mention the acoustic simulations.Plus there's a true bypass button that lets you bypass the amp and cabinet modulation so you can just use the sound of your amp\head

The distortion selection includes many of the favorites such as Tube Screamer,Metal Zone,MXR,DS-1,OD-1,Arbiter Fuzz Face,E.H. Big Muff and many more.

The delay and echo effects once again have a great selection, and are user friendly with simple, easy to understand parameters, also they have a tap tempo switch for those hard to nail tempos.

The chorus\fx\wah\expression selection is crazy, killer replicas of some of the most sought after pedals and sounds in the world to date, just way too many too mention.

The compressor\sustainer is to die for I think

There are also many numerous features such as the pedal board switch which allows you to have 10 preset switches or 5 presets and 5 pre-determined stompbox switches, effects can be put pre or post in your signal path,up to 8 different connection setups, amp loop, effects loop, ground lift switch, expression pedal customizing,USB jack and much more.

The things I didn't like was the lack of selection of reverbs,no midi conections, and the noise gate I think is horrible,it destorys sustain no matter what the setting is,cuts notes way too short, aspecially in the upper register.

If your planning on buying one of these,do it.If you want more info before dumping out the cash, ask a question here and I'll see if I can help

I've been considering one of these. Not sure if I want to get back into multi-effects again.

I personally prefer individual pedals. I went into several stores to try different ones out, and just don't like the sound. Also, I find that individual pedals have their own individual characteristics, whereas a multiFX is just meh. That's my $0.02 though.
