When was the last time you've been to one?
I don't know there is just something about watching a movie from your car. These are definitely something that there should be more off (Drive-In movie theaters).
Anyone remember Joe Bob Briggs? _________________ When someone asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" Never. We didn't have any in Brazil, and once I moved to Canada I never got around to going to one. It's on my bucket list though. _________________ Newest addition: RMO ES-335 Custom Build

When I was little, we had two different drive-ins in my area: the Victory, which was a single screen as I recall; and the Starlight, which was at least a double. They are both long gone, regrettably. The Victory was the first casualty of "progress": the land was sold to some church with ambitious plans of building some mega-complex, but it fell through and last I saw, the lot was still vacant after 15 some years. The Starlight went not long after that and I think it was redeveloped into an office park
That was back home in Wisconsin. Here around Phoenix, I have no idea if there are any or where they are... first there would have to be a movie worth seeing, however... _________________ ᛊᛈᚨᚱᚨ ᛟᚲᚢᚱ ᚠᚱᚨ ᚦᛖ ᛟᚠᛊᚨᛒᚱᛇᛞᛁ ᚨᚠ ᚦᛖ ᚾᛟᚱᚦᚢᚱ |

For me here in So Cal we have two in our general vicinity...both are multi-screen and its near to impossible to see a movie unless you camp out most of your Friday or Saturday.
Near Phoenix you have the Scottsdale 6 http://www.drive-ins.com/theater/aztscot
As far as the movies go...no movie seen at a drive in was really worth beans anyway (one of my best memories at a drive-in was seeing "Total Recall"
G, if you can give me a hint on where in CA you are I can find one for you as well. _________________ When someone asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" I haven't thought about drive-in in a looonnng time, lol. When I was a kid we used to go all the time. Lots of 70's B movies for sure. Some really good memories for sure. The last one I would have saw was around 1983. The shame is there is a drive-in about 40 minutes from my house. _________________ Guitars- Agile AL3100 CSB, 3100 Root Beer Wide, Schecter PT Fastback 3TS, Schecter C1-XXX

Thanks for looking that up for me. When my son gets past 2, I think I'd like to take him to a drive-in (they say it's best not to expose kids under 2 to TV/movies as it can contribute to attention problems). It would bring back memories, and I'm sure if I wait for the right kind of movie, it would be a lot of fun _________________ ᛊᛈᚨᚱᚨ ᛟᚲᚢᚱ ᚠᚱᚨ ᚦᛖ ᛟᚠᛊᚨᛒᚱᛇᛞᛁ ᚨᚠ ᚦᛖ ᚾᛟᚱᚦᚢᚱ |
