Does anyone have or have experience with effects pedals with a tube inside? Like a Ibanez Tube King or Duncan Twin Tube, etc. I bought a Peavey Mace VT head and the preamp section sucks, but the power sections is 160 tubes watts (wooo hooo), I want to get some good gain. _________________ Guitars- Agile AL3100 CSB, 3100 Root Beer Wide, Schecter PT Fastback 3TS, Schecter C1-XXX

It seems that a lot of the tube pedals get mixed reviews. The Ibby Tube King is one that seems to have been a disappointment. I don't remember where I saw the reviews, as it was awhile back, (might have been HC) but I would say google it and see what turns up.
There's a good alternative you might have seen me post about before, though:

They have so much cool stuff it's insane. One thing they are known for is their hotrodded Tubescreamers. Everyone I've heard from loves them and there are a fair number of pros who swear by them as well. Might be worth a look! _________________ ᛊᛈᚨᚱᚨ ᛟᚲᚢᚱ ᚠᚱᚨ ᚦᛖ ᛟᚠᛊᚨᛒᚱᛇᛞᛁ ᚨᚠ ᚦᛖ ᚾᛟᚱᚦᚢᚱ |

I heard many good things about the radial tonebone series. Kerry King of Slayer uses the Trimode ONTOP of his Marshall signature (the highest gain JCM800 ever made.) They cant be too raunchy if he's using them as accent tone. |
