Like all of us, I have other interests other than music. It makes my day and/or my week when my interests intersect. This happened a few years back...

As most of you can tell I'm an Japanese anime fan but a few years back I came a crossed an anime called "Legend of Black Heaven".
Its about a guy who used to play guitar in a band who is struggling with getting older and dealing with life in general (crappy job, wife and kid.etc) Some extraordinary stuff happens that gets him playing again.

Anywho the original sound track to this is incredible and I want you guys to hear two of the tracks from the show.

Here is the opening: its "Cautionary Warning" By John Sykes

And here is a song off the original soundtrack called "Let you go, Let me go"

The context of the song in the anime makes it even more powerful to me.

I hope you guys enjoy these tracks.[/code]

That is pretty cool stuff. Anime isn't exactly my bag but there are some that have a pretty engrossing theme. I might check out Black Heaven, sounds intriguing. Very Happy

Yeah its not a lot of peoples cup of tea.

Though when I watched through this series, disregarding all the fantasy elements in the story, I was able to identify with the main character drawing parallels to how I was in a decent band that just kinda faded away and that I didn't like the job I was currently working and so forth.

Watching it made me want to play more. I know, kinda weird right?

well probably not...that movie "Airheads" with Adam Sandler made me want to play more too.
