Welcome aboard, darkshore/Tony. Glad we have another Olson aficionado here, and glad to hear that your axe is still treating you right... er, left, maybe... well, glad you came to hang out!

Guys.... I too am purchasing an Olson from Robert. I'm going for the Semi-Hollow LP style "Black Beauty". Robert seems to be a very nice guy. He has answered all my emails, and says he will contact me soon as their available. There does seem to be a buzz about these guitars out there. I will post a honest review / evaluation here when I get mine, as i'm sure all of you will too...

Maybe off topic, but when is the new stock supposed to be in? It shows Jan 15th.

Well he said some of the air shipped stuff would be here by the end of the month, and some of the other things would be coming by boat and would be available 40-45 days from the date he mentioned it.

He hasn't provided much info, and the bit he has is on the forum here. There is a new color scheme that will be available (obsidian i think?) on the single cut models, but that's about all I know.

Yeah, there isn't much info. Last time I got a reply from Robert, he apologized for taking so long because as he said, he was "overworked and overwhelmed". I guess business must be picking up, which isn't really a bad thing.

Pretty common for small business owners. I would rather him not feel rushed with our orders. As much as I want to play the guitar (I feel my hand itching Very Happy ) I'm cool with him taking his time.

Does anybody know what this means?

"Around Feb 7th we will start receiving some of our upgraded LP Solid Body Guitars"

What has been done to the body? I am getting ready to purchase a solid soon.

Maybe his new shipment plus the RR project LPs?

I was hoping to delay the RR for another two weeks. Still paying for the second millennium ...or at least till I sell the Yamaha off.

Maybe there's just been a few minor adjustments from the old run.

Ooh, the suspense....
