For those of you who know Twang from AGF or other forums, he mods amps and other stuff. I sent this head to Twang to play with and see what he could do. This was a pretty good little amp head to start, I am not sure what exactly he did to it, but....... HOLY CRAP!!!
It does sound noticeably better, more clean head room, better sounding breakup. He put a standby in (not really needed on a 5 watt amp I guess, but I wanted one). He even did a custom "Twang " name plate for me. I will shoot some pics of the final look when I get the chance, not really set up to do audio clips (besides I suck at playing).
It looks great, sounds better and the price was more than fair. I bow to you sir for your fine work.... and thanks. _________________ Guitars- Agile AL3100 CSB, 3100 Root Beer Wide, Schecter PT Fastback 3TS, Schecter C1-XXX

That sounds really nice. I've been thinking of asking him what he could do to improve a Fender Blues Junior. I bought mine new in '97 and it's never been retubed (I didn't plug in very often until recently) and if it's gotta get done, it might be worth it to tweak and tune it. I hear from a lot of happily Twanged denizens of AGF, so when I'm ready I think I'll drop him a line. Glad to hear you are enjoying your amp! _________________ ᛊᛈᚨᚱᚨ ᛟᚲᚢᚱ ᚠᚱᚨ ᚦᛖ ᛟᚠᛊᚨᛒᚱᛇᛞᛁ ᚨᚠ ᚦᛖ ᚾᛟᚱᚦᚢᚱ |

The new line of Fender Hot Rod amps (including Blues JR) has updated with some of the poplar mods in them I think, maybe just sell it and go new. If he can do it, he really does do good work. It took awhile, but it sounds noticeably better. Good luck. _________________ Guitars- Agile AL3100 CSB, 3100 Root Beer Wide, Schecter PT Fastback 3TS, Schecter C1-XXX
