I really don't want to re-write this debacle, so here it is:

G,

Sorry to see that happen...the pics made me angry and its not even my guitar.

Even worse is that with the proper amount of wood glue it is fixable but you can still see a chip in the wood.

A good warning for all of us who buy and sell gear online not to use UPS - I'd stay away from DHL as well (international only now)

Thanks for the sympathy Laughing

She's on the bench already getting fixed. Tony and I have a plan of attack, so hopefully we'll get it all straightened out. The part that pissed me off the most is that it was shipped without the neck to avoid damage. They either dropped this from 300ft or put around 500lb of stuff on top of it.

It's a really weird place to get a massive crack like that too, so whatever they did to it, I guarantee you it was not standard procedure.

Knowing UPS they probably backed over it with their van.

wow thats such an odd place to have shipping damage, it looks as if they took a hammer to it or something, but wood glue and clamps and that should be good as new

People at UPS are a bunch of eff idiots. They're not getting any of my business again.

As for the guitar, it's already in the bench getting fixed up. Should be ready to go tomorrow.

Glad to hear it's fixed. I saw your thread on AGF about this. What a crock... makes me pretty certain of not shipping via UPS, especially after seeing that video. Sums it up rather nicely Shocked

Yep. I wonder if enough of us got together if we'd be able to start a class action lawsuit. I'm sure AGF alone has enough evidence.

Here are some sound clips. Order is as follows:

- Bridge clean
- Middle clean
- Neck clean
- Bridge dirty
- Middle dirty
- Neck dirty

I love this, sounds awesome. Can't wait to get my hands on my fixed at sometime before Halloween. It'll be fun. For those wondering, all clips recorded using GarageBand and Guitar Rig 4.
