Just thinking about the level of activity lately here. Seems hard to sustain it, and with a lot of us also being on AGF, it seems hard to be active on both forums. Where do you see GFRM headed?

It definitely is hard to be active in more than one forum at a time.

I've mentioned before that I've made GFRM my main guitar forum, subsequently I'm active also on the harmony central forums, I'm still a member over at AGF - but do not post anymore - I also dwell in other forums that have nothing to do with guitars (anime, cell phones, ect)

I can maintain this level of presence mostly because I'm in front of a computer at work all day.

Yes, the activity level is low here but again were not really actively promoting it like we could. I think we have seen good growth for a forum that is only 9 months old.

If you ever need some one else to help you maintain this forum I'll gladly throw my hat in.

I'm with Phanto. I spend most of my day in front of the computer, so I'm pretty active on a variety of forums. I like GFRM and I think it's nice to have a place without all the recent BS that has been going on at AGF.

I am glad you guys are still on board. Maybe you have some ideas to float that would move us... I don't know where, but somewhere Very Happy

I would like to continue GFRM if there is still interest. I just was feeling a bit like a traitor myself; since the traffic here has been low of late, I've been hanging out at AGF a bit more than before. To their credit, it seems like the vitriol has been kept at bay for several weeks now and things are more pleasant over there like the old days.

I started this forum primarily to help Robert get a bigger presence on the web and give his customers a chance to discuss his guitars, since things got ugly at AGF over the "Olson thread". I tried to make some additional forums for other brands, since I knew it would be hard to sustain a board based only on one small company. Maybe that's one area where we could change things... but I'm not sure exactly what to change and how.

So any of you guys on here who read this, if you've got ideas, I'd love to hear them. How can we grow some more?

This a great place, just need more active members that's all. If it's gonna grow it will just take some time. I am sure it took the other forums a while to get rolling as well.

The forum usually takes a little while to grow, plus Robert's guitars are still fairly low profile. I'm sure as more people get into his guitars, more people will show up here. Does he have a link up on his website to GFRM? I haven't been there in a while, since I always talk to him via email.

Maybe a bit cliche but perhaps we can create official or community pages on the social networking sites (myspace, facebook, and figure out a way to do a twitter account for it)

I think that the reason why we created this forum should also be the reason how we keep it going. I think we should incorporate other manufacturers like RM Olson guitars into this spread and have them keep users informed about product updates and introduce us to new products and companies as well. Not to detract from Robert's work here but to supplement it.

True, like Native Guitars. This is where I first heard of them.
