I don't know how many of you still go over to AGF, but has anyone else noticed the large amount of crazy threads over there now? It seems like everyday someone posts something about religion or whatever else and just causes a kaka storm. Glad that things are quiet here, as AGF is proving to be the new HC is this keeps up.

This is pretty much my main guitar forum now - outside of the other guitar forums I use for research.

I got that vibe even when I first signed up over there - especially after Roberts name was mentioned for the RR tribute LP. In fact the attitudes over there were probably a main contributor to Craig creating GRMF.

However -'flaming' in forums can be broken down in two distinct problems:

1. Lack of organization - saying this kind of topic can/can't go here
2. Lack of enforcement of the forum rules - and this falls on the owner of the forum and their moderators.

Sadly, most forums/bbs' have this problem. GRMF is one of the few that doesn't and this is more than likely due to our modest membership.

Yeah, I've been popping in at AGF a bit lately due to us all waiting on Robert's new guitars and it therefore being kind of slow here. There have been some topics started over there that seem to be specifically created to cause flame wars. I saw that religion one that was started after the first one was closed, and in only a few hours it was 11 pages long! Yikes, does no one have anything else to do? The mod ended up getting rather pissed, telling everyone off, and closing that thread too.

I am glad that even though we're small, we always get along and don't step on each others' toes over here. Thanks for hanging in there through the ups and downs and hopefully as Robert's business grows, we'll get more fans coming over to chat. Looking forward to next week and the new shipment... Cool

Out of the forums I belong to, I spend the most time on AGF, but it's been brutal over there. I haven't even been able to muster a smart ass comment after reading all of the back and forth banter over nothing. I've been lurking, but not really posting. GRMF is a nicer place to be these days.
