Well, since I've been wheeling and dealing here lately, I have made another trade and come across my first marshall, and it's a good one! I traded my Orange OR50 for this marshall. It's overall in pretty darn good condition, having the original preamp tubes in it still, and the guy threw in an extra set of original issue Mullard 12AX7 tubes.

Wonderfully blurry picture, but it gets the job done.

Well, now that I've come close to shattering the windows, I can say that this is exactly the sound I have been looking for. Something the orange came close to, but just couldn't get. There is absolutely nothing like the sound of an old Marshall amplifier cranked up. I don't think I will ever be parting with this one, but then again I said that with the orange too lol.

Sweeeet Cool

I bet it totally wails. Once I get a *real* house again I would love to score something like that, but where I live now, even my 15 watt Blues Jr cuts right through the thin old walls. Not to mention lack of space Rolling Eyes

Congrats on the score, though. Good call my friend!

Yeah as you can see I have a hotplate there, and I personally feel that it is ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY, with any of these non master volume amplifiers. Does it suck tone?! Meh I dunno honestly, I've never had the chance to crank it without one, but it sounds pretty b!tch to me lol.
