Hey guys, it seems like the guitar design contest we had awhile back kinda ran out of steam. What I'm going to do for now is just randomly pick a cool guitar or other music related item to use as the banner. I'll freshen it up periodically. If you guys have any designs/pics you'd like to contribute, just post the pic in this thread and it might end up getting used!

Well, we got some excitement generated by the post about Dommenget guitars recently, so by request, I put up a picture of the Dommenget Acoustic Explorer as our current banner.

Just remember, if you find some cool/bizarre/breathtaking musical device and you think it would make a good banner, just post the pic in this thread and it might just end up as our banner for awhile!

You know what would be cool? May be if the forum members could submit pic's of their personal guitars...just a thought.

Is the top of that guitar metal? Man, that must've been a LOT of work. How much do these go for?

Yes, most of the Zemanthis guitars do involve some sort of metal work, be it a metal top like the one above or just metal inlays.

As for price the one in the pick goes for around 3K - and that's just the price for one made by the company zemanthis since the original luthier retired. If you find one from the 70s or 80s your looking at 45k.

But you have to admit thats a cleaver way of hiding the electronics shielding.

I like the personal guitar idea. Or someone's collection.

To take a pic of my entire collection would involve having to reveal my true number of guitars to my significant other. I may want to not disclose that number to her just yet.

Though a night on the couch would do some good for my back.

Well, that's one way of looking at it... Laughing

If you guys would like to go for that idea for the banner, post a pic you'd like to use and I'll see to it!
