Recently come across some good deals on a few random pieces of gear.

First up is my new Marshall 1960B 4x12 cabinet. Got a killer deal on it via craigslist, and it has had a very dramatic effect on my tone since I started using this instead of my Orange 2x12.

Next down on the floor is a 1981 MXR Distortion Plus, and I have to say when it comes to overdrive pedals this one takes the cake. I have two other newer Distortion Plus pedals, and a Boss Super Overdrive, and this vintage pedal just puts all the others to shame. If you can get a good deal on a vintage pedal like this, go for it.

Finally my new TC Eletronic Polytune! I've been needing a new tuner for a while, and this thing is without a doubt the best on the market in my opinion.

Even though I need a job now, this is one of the reasons i'm glad I don't have a steady income of money...it would all be gone on new (or used) gear! Laughing

Lol yeah, having money for gear is a curse. I love being able to buy new gear, but I'm running out of room!

Nice scores there my friend! That cab looks to be in pretty good shape; any idea how old it is? Also glad to hear about the MXR pedal. Next effects gear I buy will be vintage, or vintage reissue rather than the newfangled stuff. Always thought MXR made some cool stuff and it's always good to ask the man who owns one... Wink

Not sure how old it is, but I got it for $375 with some minor tolex damage. Killer deal in my book!
