Slummin' as well. 18 pack of Miller High Life in da house. It is my hometown brew after all... Wink

I found that high life with some lime is better than any corona you've ever had...

Definitely not slummin' yesterday... This was a good one. Would've been better if I'd had it a bit colder; it was probably around 55° which allowed the full fury of the malt to whack the tastebuds rather hard. It was very smooth, however, and got a nice head which dissipated pretty slowly. I used a champagne flute in lieu of the usual goblet, since I don't currently have one, which made for at least 6 pours from that big bottle Rolling Eyes The illustrious Belgian yeast was definitely present and had a nice nutmeg-ish overtone, which in combination with the malt made for a slightly sweet, easy drinking session. The alcohol was well masked and boy, did it sneak up on me Laughing

I would have to say that I still prefer Chimay Tripel over any other I've had, but the Westmalle made for a strong showing and I'd buy it again.

Had a really nice Belgian trappis ale. Can't remember the name though. Nice 750ml bottle with a cork. Drank smoother than I expected. Was also 8% (in Canada, so around 10% in the US).

Aside from that, our stores finally have bottled Hoegarden, so I enjoyed some of that. Good summer beer when well chilled.
