I am doing this as kind of a public service. I got this off of the Agile Forum I am also a member of. Make your own judgments, but the guy (Big Pig Dave) got screwed pretty bad and wouldn't want it to happen to anyone here. Here are the threads from the Agile Guitar Forum.

Pratteman,

I read through the first thread...and what Dave went through was just ridiculous. Then I went to the second thread and the way "Bad Alien Designs" did him dirty was just wrong.

I feel for the guy. No body wants their guitar to come back in that condition -especially if you receive the bad service that he got.

However, I would never recommend paying in full upfront for any service, guitar related or otherwise. A deposit for materials and other miscellany is appropriate but other than that the rest of the money should be paid upon completion.

I will add a forum here called "Guitar Services" and there will be two sub-threads for "GFRM Recommended service providers/builders/dealers" and "GFRM Not Recommended service providers/builders/dealers" Where we can post our good experiences and bad. Bad Alien Designs will have the distinction the be the first listed under the "Not Recommended"

Thanks. I posted on a couple of forums to help people avoid poor business practices of B.A.D. I am not much of a soapbox guy, but Dave is a true quality character and I threw my two cents (or few posts) in. I wasn't judging B.A.D, just letting people know what they put him through. Thanks again.

The way I view it is that if one person had a bad experience there are probably more that had a similar experience.

And were not saying everyone should avoid companies like B.A.D. but its more like buyer-beware

That video made me physically ill. Thats disturbing to do to your own guitar, let alone someone elses. I hope that Dave destroys Bad Alien Designs.
