Same here. Started thin and going thicker. I do still like the real thin one for some strumming.

I use the red nylon Dunlop Jazz III's (a small pick with a pointy tip). Not sure what thickness they are, but they are a very rigid heavy gauge. Great for fast runs, mellow tone. Not very good for strumming, though, so what I use when I'm doing acoustic stuff is the Dunlop Tortex orange ones in .60mm. Bright tone, less rigid but stiff enough that I can do some fairly fast picking. _________________ ᛊᛈᚨᚱᚨ ᛟᚲᚢᚱ ᚠᚱᚨ ᚦᛖ ᛟᚠᛊᚨᛒᚱᛇᛞᛁ ᚨᚠ ᚦᛖ ᚾᛟᚱᚦᚢᚱ |

I've been using red Dunlop Jazz II's, which are around 1.10 mm thick for about 25 years precisely because of their mellow tone and ease of alternate picking on fast runs. I occasionally use black Dunlop nylon shark fins too, which are around 1.07 mm. _________________ Fender| Mighty Mite| GFS| Epiphone| Yamaha| Ventura| Laguna| RM Olson

If I have to use a pick for acoustic playing, then it is the Herco flex 75 |

It varies on my mood I guess but I tend to stay more towards the heavy and super heavy. _________________ When someone asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?"
