As with all online forums, there are rules and guidelines that must be followed to keep the forum running smoothly and to the benefit of everyone. That said, acceptable use means the following:

1. No spamming, i.e. unsolicited PMs or emails trying to push products or services.
2. You may post gear for sale/trade/wanted in the appropriate Gear Trader section. You must meet certain qualifications before doing so, however. There is a clearly marked Store Rules post; you MUST read it BEFORE posting anything. PMing or emailing privately between forum members to sell/trade/buy is outside of the jurisdiction of the admin (me) so if you choose to go that route, just remember the old Roman adage of caveat emptor.
3. There are a lot of replica a.k.a. fake guitars out there which are frequently seen on overseas Ebay-type websites. Gibson seems to be among the most often faked. Discussing these guitars is OK as long as people who own them don't discuss the vendor's name publicly on the forum. If someone wants that info, they may send a private message or email to the person to request it. Also, there is to be no representing a replica as authentic, especially if you are selling one in the marketplace section. You must identify the guitar as a replica. There is no "wiggle room" on this rule at all. Violators may have their IP banned from the board at the discretion of the admin or a moderator.
4. THIS IS A FAMILY-ORIENTED FORUM. Please keep your language and choice of subject matter clean, mature, and respectful. Also, you may post links to other websites of interest, but there is to be no linking to the following types of sites:
Pornography
Sites which facilitate transfer or sharing of copyrighted material
Gambling sites
Sites which are geared toward "recreational drug" use
In other words, if you wouldn't want your kids to see it, don't post it.

The forums are open to musicians of all ages; PLEASE use common sense and keep things appropriate. Repeat and/or willful violation of this rule will lead to your being banned.

I think that's enough rules and regulations, don't you? Now go play in traffic, kids! Wink
