Hey everybody, just wanted to thank you all for coming on board. But what I've noticed is that a lot of the new members haven't really participated in any discussions at all. I understand if people want to come and look, but what makes this a true community is participation and contribution. Don't be shy, let's hear from everybody!
If you haven't found a topic that interests you, start one. If you need something from me as far as improvements or changes, just post it in the suggestion thread or drop me a PM. I started this forum for everyone to enjoy, and the users need to have their say.
I have a hunch that some of you may be waiting for the classifieds to start up - which I plan to do soon - but I don't want people just showing up here, selling, and disappearing. That has happened on AGF, and it is the reason why they have the 100 post minimum rule before you can sell. I may go that route, but not sure yet. Just be patient, and when I see we have a good number of active, participating members, I will start the classifieds. _________________ ᛊᛈᚨᚱᚨ ᛟᚲᚢᚱ ᚠᚱᚨ ᚦᛖ ᛟᚠᛊᚨᛒᚱᛇᛞᛁ ᚨᚠ ᚦᛖ ᚾᛟᚱᚦᚢᚱ |

Been pretty quiet here lately. I guess we all have other stuff to do, myself included (3 week old baby!) Hope everyone is OK. We are closing in on the 100 member mark which is good to see. I will try to be around the board as much as my schedule permits and keep the interest alive.
In the meantime, anybody have suggestion on things we could improve or other ways to spark the interest? _________________ ᛊᛈᚨᚱᚨ ᛟᚲᚢᚱ ᚠᚱᚨ ᚦᛖ ᛟᚠᛊᚨᛒᚱᛇᛞᛁ ᚨᚠ ᚦᛖ ᚾᛟᚱᚦᚢᚱ |

Yeah it has been quiet lately...
As far as promotion goes - probably the best thing I can think to do is if anyone here frequents other forums, make sure the link to here is in your signature. ( This should also go for those of us who post on youtube)
And as far as sparking interest in our own members....I saw this other concept at another site I frequent (BandAmp.com) basically its a weekly contest were members upload songs they have written and recorded and the other site members vote on their favorite. ( I think all they win is the satisfaction of knowing that they've won.) Perhaps we can do something similar - maybe on a bi-weekly or monthly basis.
Also, we should consider asking for link swaps from all the small guitar outfits we all deal with - Agile, RavinWest, Farnell, Native Guitars, etc (Robert already has links to us that's why he is not in the list) We're pretty much promoting their gear for free, least they can do is link us.
Can't really think of anything else off the top of my head. _________________ When someone asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" Been pretty quiet around these parts lately... guess all of us are busy, huh? The new baby is keeping my wife and I on our toes, that's for sure. Not to mention we're moving into new digs now which will occupy most of my time for the next several days. I will give you guys a little teaser here, though: Robert just got my custom in today and he's gonna try to get it en route tomorrow. If so, then I could have it as early as maybe Wednesday or Thursday next week. When it arrives, expect a review as soon as humanly possible...
Here are the teaser pics Robert sent me. That gloss just looks a mile deep. If it looks like that in person (probably even better) I'll be in hog heaven. And it's nitro lacquer! It still blows me away that Gibby/Fender/Gretsch charge an arm and a leg for the "premium privilege" and Robert does it standard at his prices.

Wow Craig she sure seems like a looker. Can't wait for you to get your hands on it and put some stuff up.
On an unrelated note, I hope to post some comparison sound clips between my AL and my Olson as soon as I get a chance. I'm moving this weekend, but as soon as that is over I'll get the clips up. _________________ Newest addition: RMO ES-335 Custom Build

^^^ That's a beauty!
Yeah, all the training I've been doing has been keeping my away from an active internet connection. I still do check in at night...that is if I can keep my eyes open. _________________ When someone asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" Hey guys, I've been busy the last few days taking care of a sick wife and working on my truck. Pretty hectic. I should be lurking around again now, though. Just didn't want you thinking I'd vanished or anything... _________________ ᛊᛈᚨᚱᚨ ᛟᚲᚢᚱ ᚠᚱᚨ ᚦᛖ ᛟᚠᛊᚨᛒᚱᛇᛞᛁ ᚨᚠ ᚦᛖ ᚾᛟᚱᚦᚢᚱ |

Since my training finished up I'm back at a desk so I pretty much stay logged in to the forum all day and I'll check it every now and then. It has been quiet but usually is during the week.
Were all usually busy so we understand... _________________ When someone asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" Well I definitely won't have much time as school nears...
My soccer team starts 2-a-day practices on Monday. I might have a little bit of time to lurk, but not the amount I usually have. _________________ Gear:
