Here are some of the new custom guitars that I have just sent out to their new owners.

I think things are looking up. I am listening to what people are saying they like and trying to make some corrections and changes. These paint jobs are pretty darn good. The fretboards have been polished and I am making use of my new fret end file to remove any sharp fret ends.

If you would like to order a custom, I can take orders for about another two weeks. Those orders would be ready about August 1st to the 10th

Hope everyone is doing well!

Robert M Olson

This is the satin version of the Slash guitar. I rubbed this out by hand with ordinary auto rubbing compound by request of the owner.
Here is what the owner said about his new Slash Guitar

Hey Robert,

Well first of all Ive got to say Robert, the guitar looks beautiful! I didnt know how it was going to go with the matte finish but when you polished it up it made it look amazing! It plays just like my buddies 5k dollar les paul custom - which he dropped! The pickups arent hot but they have the right tonal range and voicing. Since Ive gotten your guitar Ive recommended your guitars to so many people. I cant speak higher of your guitars Robert. I would say Im pleasantly surprised but Im not...Im not surprised at all because I expected your guitars to be this good!

I do have to ask though - for a friend I made a recommendation to - do you have any Randy Rhoads guitars on the way? He's a huge Rhoads fan and wants the Les Paul (and the polka dot Vee, but thats another story). Let me know if ya do and Ill try and get him in contact with you. I plan on swingin around by him and showin him the quality of the Slash.

Thank you again Robert. I know Ive been quite a pain once in a while but you delivered spectacularily.

Have a great day!

Robert, I have always thought your guitars were very nice looking and a good value. Now after seeing these pictures (especially my Black Beauty of course Wink ) I would say you've made the jump from "nice looking" to "breathtaking" and the value is "outstanding"! Those paint jobs are amazing; they look almost like they were wet-sanded and buffed. The white LP Custom is a knockout!

I'm also glad to hear about the fretboard polish and the fret dressing you're doing. I know that was one area where some folks thought attention was needed, and you have responded to the needs of your customers just like always. I am looking forward more than ever to receiving my guitar now! I will definitely keep you guys here on the forum up to date and put up a review ASAP!

Robert, I don't think you'll have any difficulty selling all the guitars you can get in stock with them looking and playing as well as these... Cool God bless and may you continue to succeed and enjoy your business!

I reckon so... that is a custom, so I would suspect the owner asked for that. It looks nice on that guitar; it reminds me of the shape you see on some higher end guitars... almost like a wider, longer version of a PRS headstock. On my custom, I still have the traditional LP Custom "open book" shape. I suspect you can have almost any shape you want when you order a custom; the factory in China seems capable of some pretty awesome stuff. I've been really impressed with what I've seen so far!

I entered his guitar contest when he posted it, and that was the first LP style guitar I thought of. If you had one made what would you go for; pre '57 with soapbars or a '57 with humbuckers?

Soapbars all the way. I guess I'm practical that way; if I want 'buckers in a Paul I would go either Custom or Standard. When I think goldtop I usually think '54 wraparound or '56 tuneomatic.

I wonder if Robert has ever done a goldtop for anyone. I've never seen one, but I've dropped the hint to him a few times to consider having a few done and see how they sell... methinks they would go like hotcakes Very Happy

With the Gold Rush going on lately, I think you'd be right. Another artist inspired guitar, the Bonamassa LP

The high gloss finish is the way to go! The black beauty looks so much more highend now, than before in the satin finish.

I still have weeks before my guitars are in. After seeing how all of these guitars turned out, I am very excited and happy that I placed my orders
with Robert.

All of the owners must be thrilled with the results.........

I would like to say, the Slash model in the satin finish is very cool!
I bet it the wood resonates really well with that finish..

I already have a guitar with single coils (my strat) and have a LP jr style guitar which (when I get the money) I plan to change the humbucker to a dogear p90, so for me I would go with 'buckers, '57 style. Plus I've never owned a true LP style guitar (i.e. 2 humbuckers, mahogany & maple, set neck), and I would like to own one.

Sorry for the confusing layout Laughing

amazing looking. I love the satin finish on mine but I'm still fascinated by shiny things. Cool

Well, I feel a little foolish! The white Les Paul Custom is mine!
( I thought it was for some one else )
I never checked my work email from Robert on my guitars from him until he contacted me again at home.

I can not wait until it arrives.. one down, one more to go!

I am floored by what Robert can do... amazing guitars! amazing man!
