Never heard of Duck-Rabbit. Is it English?
Going to savor the hoppy goodness of an Arrogant Bastard in short order. The Chimay is on standby for when I get my chalice from which to imbibe it... _________________ ᛊᛈᚨᚱᚨ ᛟᚲᚢᚱ ᚠᚱᚨ ᚦᛖ ᛟᚠᛊᚨᛒᚱᛇᛞᛁ ᚨᚠ ᚦᛖ ᚾᛟᚱᚦᚢᚱ |

I picked up a nice bottle of Pinot Noir wine from France to go with pizza tonight, to celebrate the baby. Also scored a bottle of Chimay Red for an as yet undisclosed date, but rumor has it that there will be a session in the very near future
Here's a partial family portrait of my Chimays, aging nicely in their bottles. Just need a tripel to complete the collection...

Trying Molson M today. It's a new, microcarbonated lager. Very very smooth drinking, reminds a lot of beer from Brazil (which are more like pillsner). Recommend for an easy drinking day, but the alcohol content is 4.9% in Canada, which means it'll be a bit above 5% in the States. _________________ Newest addition: RMO ES-335 Custom Build

I'm savoring a Chimay Tripel right now (ivory label). The bottle has that cool champagne cork with wire safety retainer and it gives a nice "pop" on opening. The unmistakable Belgian wild yeast aroma really gets your attention, especially as the head builds upon pouring. If you like malt and hops (Phantomotaku ) , this is the Chimay for you. Hides the 8% ABV (highest of the three commercially available Chimays) pretty well. Not as hoppy as some of Stone's brews but clear hop presence for sure. Nice medium amber color from the nicely caramelized malt. Very smooth drinking with a nice hop aftertaste. And the 8% ABV is sneaking up on me, I can tell
Not cheap - $10 for the 750 mL bottle - but I've cut back to only drinking 1 beer a week so I can enjoy one really good beer instead of a 12'er of the cheap stuff. Quality trumps quantity for sure! _________________ ᛊᛈᚨᚱᚨ ᛟᚲᚢᚱ ᚠᚱᚨ ᚦᛖ ᛟᚠᛊᚨᛒᚱᛇᛞᛁ ᚨᚠ ᚦᛖ ᚾᛟᚱᚦᚢᚱ |
