Well, it was bound to happen. Any forum with musicians has to have one of these threads, I reckon. I like beer and I'm darn proud of it. I drink what my budget allows at any given moment, so sometimes it's Pabst/Miller/Coors, and sometimes I splurge a bit and get some English, Belgian, or German stuff.
Today I had a bottle of Paulaner Original Munich Lager (German of course!). Seems that the lighter amber German lagers all have a certain "floral" head to them. Good stuff, went down smooth as silk.
Feel free to discuss what you like, one good brew deserves another! _________________ ᛊᛈᚨᚱᚨ ᛟᚲᚢᚱ ᚠᚱᚨ ᚦᛖ ᛟᚠᛊᚨᛒᚱᛇᛞᛁ ᚨᚠ ᚦᛖ ᚾᛟᚱᚦᚢᚱ |

Beer - seldom touch the stuff, but if i do it is usually Michelob. Whiskey, on the other hand, suits me just fine! Particularly 'Old No. 7" - Cheers! _________________ "this space intentionally left blank" |

I don't drink beer too often, and when I do it's not to excess, so my opinion is not as informed as some others' may be. But I prefer Guinness; it's got a unique taste, is rich, creamy, and substantial. Plus, it's dark as hell, comes in a pint, and is Irish--doesn't get any cooler than that. |

Speaking of whiskey, my girlfriend got me a bottle of Glen Ord 30 which was bottled in 2005, which officially makes it 34 yrs old. It's one of the best I've had. It goes really well with the remaining little bit of Glen Ord 1968 I have (only two glasses maybe)
As for beer, I'm a huge stout fan, but occasionally enjoy the scotch ale and even some Belgian lambics like Morte Subite _________________ Newest addition: RMO ES-335 Custom Build

I don't nearly drink hardly any more but my favorite changes with the season:
Spring:
Fat Tire
Wexford cream Ale
Sam Adams Cherry Wheat (in small doses)
Summer:
Fat Tire
Windmire Hef
Lowenbrau (when you can find it)
Skull Splitter Ale (I initially decided to drink this for two reasons 11% AC and there is a viking on the label)
Hangar 24 Hef
Fall/Winter:
Arrogant Bastard/Double Bastard Ale
Youngs Double Chocolate Stout
Most other stouts. _________________ When someone asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."~ Jack Burton |

Ya it's one of my top 5 stouts...however it is realy hard to get a hold of it here. We get it maybe two to three times a year...last time I bought 36 bottles...and drank the last one for Christmas. _________________ Newest addition: RMO ES-335 Custom Build

The double chocolate is great this time of year. I usually start drinking it on Halloween night... _________________ When someone asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" I have a bottle of Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout in the fridge, waiting for the right moment to savor its rich stouty stoutiness... _________________ ᛊᛈᚨᚱᚨ ᛟᚲᚢᚱ ᚠᚱᚨ ᚦᛖ ᛟᚠᛊᚨᛒᚱᛇᛞᛁ ᚨᚠ ᚦᛖ ᚾᛟᚱᚦᚢᚱ |

I happen to be lucky enough to have a lot of micro-breweries around me. There is always something new to drink. _________________ When someone asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" Living in the Phoenix valley, there is a former micro in Cave Creek (outskirts of the valley) called Crazy Ed's. They used to make their own beer but have farmed it out to a Mexican brewery now. It's called Crazy Ed's Chili Beer and despite how it sounds, it's actually not bad. They put a serrano chile in each bottle and if you like hot stuff, it might be your thing. Like a spicy Corona would be the best way to describe it.
Check out the website; it's got a cheesy yet funny intro.
